Contains photographs taken by Alexandros (Aleko) Setetidis at events and at his photo studio on the Danforth, as well as event programs from the Toronto PASOK chapter, of which Setetidis was a member.

Contains 16mm films documenting daily life and culture in Egypt and Greece from around 1929 to 1950, including the Greek Civil War period.

Contains raw footage and full episodes from the Avramis Greek Show, which aired on Rogers Television and Global Television, featuring interviews with members of the Toronto Greek community and visitors from Greece, special events and celebrations, and performances.

Contains an assortment of documents that traces the organization鈥檚 proceedings from the mid-1970s forward.

Contains photographs taken by Mantalas both at his photography studio on the Danforth as well as for publication in his satirical newspapers Free Speech and The Broom.

Contains audio recordings of interviews with Greek literary figures, correspondence with Greek literary figures, photographic slides, and publications, including the complete collection of The Amaranth journals.

Greek Community of Toronto fonds

Contains photographic material that documents events and individuals related to the Greek Community of Toronto. Many events are captured in the donation, including various galas, parades, and charity golfing tournaments. The collection centres on the period of the mid-1980s to the early-2000s.

Contains records documenting the founding and the activities of the Hellenic Canadian Lawyers' Association (HCLA).

Contains photographs, correspondence, media releases, and other records documenting the early life and political career of former Member of Parliament John Cannis.

Contains textual records documenting John Sotos' involvement in various associations, including the Hellenic Canadian Congress, the Greek Canadian Federation of Ontario, the Greek Community of Metropolitan Toronto, and the Canadian Ethno-cultural council.

Contains monographs, newspaper articles, and accounting records documenting the activities of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral ("Panagia")'s Philoptochos (Ladies' Auxiliary) from 1983-2001.

Contains photographs documenting anti-military dictatorship resistance that took place in Toronto during the 1970s.

Contains event programs from Nisyrian regional associations in Ontario and New York State (Gnomagoras and Panagia Spyliani), as well as tourism guides and maps on Nisyros, Greece

Contains detailed itineraries of former Prime Minister of Greece Andreas Papandreou's 1983 visit to Canada.

Contains raw and edited footage captured by Haitas throughout his career as videographer and owner of Audio Visual Communications Inc. Footage includes episodes of Hellenic Life and 螝慰喂谓慰蟿喂魏萎 唯蠀蠂萎 (Koinotiki Psyche), as well as interviews with Greek veterans from the Second World War.

Contains rare photos of former Ontario Premier Bill Davis鈥 visit to Greece in the 1980s.

Special Collections

Special collections are listed below in alphabetical order.

Consists of issues from the Greek Community of Toronto's Hellenic-Canadian Chronicles (螘位位畏谓慰魏伪谓伪未喂魏伪 围蟻慰谓喂魏伪) newspaper as well as issues of Dimitri Mantalas' satirical newspapers Free Speech (螘位蔚蠉胃蔚蟻慰蟼 螞蠈纬慰蟼) and The Broom (螚 危魏慰蠉蟺伪).

Rare book collection consisting of rare book donations from the Hellenic Heritage Foundation, George Papadatos, George Thaniel, Trifon Haitas, and others.

Rare book collection that captures the political, artistic, and literary life of Modern Greece. The collection speaks to the polarizing turmoil of Greek history, the emotion, and the overall context that shaped Greece鈥檚 period of emigration.
