Black Students in Psychology (BSIP) is an ideologically-diverse association for black students and supporters to contribute to the psychological scientific community. BSIP wants to create a community where black students can feel included and gain more knowledge in the field of Psychology.

The Global Health Students’ Association (GHSA) is the representative body for the students of the Global Health program at �첥��Ƶ. The association aims to provide social and academic support while connecting Global Health students with faculty, industry professionals, and each other. Among other services, GHSA provides one-on-one mentoring and tutoring programs to �첥��Ƶ students.

SAHMPI connects you with various resources to help you shape your university journey. If you need help with some of your classes or some essay writing tips, SAHMPI has some peer tutoring programs. If you need some help adjusting to the university lifestyle, want someone to talk to or just have some general questions about the university and its resources then they have some peer mentoring programs for you as well.

The Undergraduate Psychology Students' Association (UPSA) aims to guide psychology students towards academic success through our academic, research and social support. Undergraduates can turn to the UPSA for information on various opportunities available within the field of psychology. UPSA provides free Peer Mentoring and Peer Tutoring services. All of their upper-year peers have at least a B+ average and have committed to helping you in both your academics and social experience here at �첥��Ƶ.

Student Clubs at Stong College

There are many student-led organizations that are affiliated with Stong College that provide opportunities to get involved on campus.

The main purpose of the Kinesiology and Health Science Student Organization is to provide a central focus for the students and faculty involved in the undergraduate Kinesiology and Health Science degree program. KAHSSO is a student-led organization that represents and supports the KINE community and provides students with empowering and engaging opportunities to integrate into the York community and help them achieve both professional and academic fulfillment through student success programs and activities.

KAHSSO is offering FREE Peer Tutoring service to core KINE courses: KINE 1000, KINE 1020, KINE 2011, KINE 2031, KINE 2049, KINE 2050, KINE 3012, KINE 3020, KINE 3030, KINE 4010 and KINE 4020. Location: SC 111 (JCR)

We also provide FREE drop-in and online mentoring services. Mentoring drop-in location is Stong College Room 204. Schedule for drop-in tutoring and mentoring will be posted on our website, facebook, and Instagram.

We hold many events during the year, most notably the General Interview and Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) interview workshops. These free, hands-on workshops identify how to prepare for an interview, designed to help students interview for jobs, volunteering positions, professional schools, and graduate studies. The workshops will include a brief presentation on the principles of an interview, the different question categories and a structured outline of how to effectively answer interview questions as well as providing an opportunity to practice what you learn.

NSAY was created to:

1. Serve as an organized liaison between the students and faculty of the School of Nursing.

2. Provide peer support within the nursing student body during transition from program entrance through graduation and encourage student participation in professional nursing organizations.

3. Participate in outreach programs that involve local and global communities.

4. Coordinate social events for nursing students and faculty.

Nursing Student Tutoring, Ambassadorship and Mentorship Programs (NSTAMP) is a student-led association that collaborates with the Stong College and the School of Nursing with the objective to assist incoming and current nursing students transition into the 3 programs offered at �첥��Ƶ – Collaborative, 2^nd Entry, and Internationally Educated Nurses transition into the 3 nursing programs offered at �첥��Ƶ - Collaborative, 2nd Entry and Internationally Educated Nurses.

We provide different types of services that will help them achieve a positive and successful experience including tutoring, mentoring, lab facilitation and ambassadorship services. Our vision is to guide students through mentoring relationships fostered through the use of online media and face-to-face interactions. Our mission is to provide nursing students with a positive and successful experience during their studies by connecting new students with a team of enthusiastic and qualified students, who act as their Peer Leaders.
