SSHRC\u2019s Insight Development Grants support the development of short-term research projects of up to two years by emerging and established scholars. The 22 York-led projects awarded this year were among 590 projects at universities across Canada to receive a total combined funding of over $36 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Among the York-led projects are a study on the impact of Black faculty cluster hires at Canadian universities, research focused on the language, history and culture of the Lenape \u2013 an Indigenous people in northeastern United States and Canada \u2013 and an investigation into romantic chemistry and its effect on relationship development. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
