President & Vice-Chancellor Mamdouh Shoukri has issued this letter to the York community:<\/em><\/p>\n

York is a fantastic university and a great place to work.<\/p>\n

However, we have heard from members of our community that York\u2019s workplace could be even better. As a starting point, we felt it was necessary to launch an employee engagement survey.<\/p>\n

We would like to hear from everyone so that not only do we have reliable and accurate results, but a good sense of your sentiments about working at York. The survey will only have meaning if we have broad representation from all areas of the institution, and so I would encourage you to share the survey at all levels.<\/p>\n

Under the direction of co-chairs Gary Brewer and Patrick Monahan and led by Suzanne Killick, the survey will be distributed to all faculty and staff in November. We have engaged an independent third-party research firm to ensure that the information provided by employees remains completely confidential and anonymous.<\/p>\n
