
On Nov. 6, members of the 快播视频 community gathered at the CBC鈥檚 Glenn Gould Studio for the 2024 快播视频 Alumni Awards. More than 200 guests were in attendance, bringing together alumni, friends, faculty, students and staff for an evening of celebration, entertainment and networking.
鈥淭onight, we celebrate the powerful impact of our alumni whose remarkable contributions are driving positive change in their communities and around the world,鈥 said Julie Lafford, assistant vice-president of alumni engagement. 鈥淔rom their excellent leadership to their strong commitment to the public good, our recipients are truly an inspiration to current and future generations of students.鈥
Hosted by York alumna and Fox 5 New York reporter Stephanie Bertini (BA 鈥07), the awards honoured the achievements of the outstanding alumni recipients and celebrated the accomplishments of the 快播视频 community.

This year鈥檚 honorees were: Michael Eubanks (BA 鈥93), Scott D. Tanner (BSc 鈥76, PhD 鈥80), Alia Abbas (BA 鈥13, MA 鈥17) and Bri Susanna Darboh (BA 鈥15, MA 鈥18, MBA 鈥22, PhD 鈥24).
鈥溈觳ナ悠, led by President Rhonda Lenton, is more than just an institution. It is a community that fosters growth, challenges assumptions and instils a deep sense of purpose and curiosity in each of us,鈥 said Eubanks as he accepted his award. 鈥淭o be recognized by the University that had done so much for me and for countless others, it is a true privilege.鈥
The evening also featured entertainment by Nicolina Bozzo, a current student and Season 20 "American Idol" semifinalist, and comedian Julie Nolke (BFA 鈥12). Alumni guest appearances included York alumnus and astronaut Steve MacLean (BSc 鈥77, PhD 鈥83, DSc 鈥93).聽
