Its role is to provide a structured opportunity to consider how emerging program ideas align with institutional priorities and available resources before they enter the formal quality assurance process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>PCAC operates <strong>in parallel with, but distinct from<\/strong>, the 快播视频 Quality Assurance Procedures (YUQAP). While YUQAP governs the academic quality assurance and collegial approval of new programs, PCAC focuses on broader planning considerations, including strategic alignment, potential demand, and overall feasibility. The committee does not assess academic quality, nor does it replace or duplicate the collegial governance processes that are central to YUQAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the University\u2019s program development process, proponents are expected to engage with PCAC and receive Provostial authorization to proceed prior to initiating a Notice of Intent (NOI) under YUQAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:12px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Through a staged and advisory process, PCAC:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"100\" height=\"82\" early-stage planning and development, PCAC is intended to complement existing academic processes and assist proponents in preparing strong proposals for consideration through YUQAP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The PCAC review process follows the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div wp-elements-53758cc5fb71f85c812f007c9bc2aec3\"><strong>Step 1: Submit Program Concept<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Following initial discussion within the Faculty, the Faculty Dean submits a Program Concept Assessment Form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-46b91e7971e29046fd2998b394afb01d\"><strong>Step 2: Initial Review<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>PCAC reviews the submitted program concept and makes a recommendation to the Provost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bead085d3d40e2d3d5361de38e4ae81d\"><strong>Step 3: Provost Decision<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p>If supported, the program concept moves forward to market and market research findings are submitted to PCAC for review and recommendation to the Provost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" is used to submit proposed new academic programs for early-stage review.
