A trusted Board director, accomplished global executive and sustainability advocate, Sham Madhok (BCom, 89) is a former PwC Partner with over 30 years of deep expertise in strategy, sustainability, enterprise risk management, M&A, and finance.<\/p>\n
She was the National Risk Management Partner at PwC for the Deals business in Canada and the Caribbean, an expansive role that included valuations, corporate finance, transaction and business recovery services, capital projects and infrastructure, value creation and forensics. Prior to her risk role, she established and led PwC\u2019s Federal Government Capital Projects practice, led the Ontario Infrastructure practice and the National Healthcare Infrastructure practice.<\/p>\n
She is known for her commitment to social justice, sustainability and the public good, demonstrating those values in the financing and delivery of complex infrastructure projects valued at more than $40 billion, in Canada, the UK, the US, and other countries. She is the Chair of the ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ Alumni Board and is a past board member of North York General Hospital and Canadian Hearing Services.<\/p>\n
Sham is a Certified Director and holds the ICD.D designation. She also holds the CFA designation, is a graduate of Harvard Business School Women's Leadership program and Climate Change Leadership at Cornell. In 2017, she was recognized as a Diversity 50 Board Candidate by the Canadian Board Diversity Council. In 2022, Ms. Madhok was honoured as a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA, FCA), the highest honour bestowed on a CPA.<\/p>\n
