Domestic students must be&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sfs.yorku.ca\/work-study-programs\">work\/study eligible<\/a>&nbsp;and must complete the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sfs.yorku.ca\/aid\/sfp\/\">online Student Financial Profile<\/a>. International students must be&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/yorkinternational.yorku.ca\/immigration-overview\/working-in-canada-opportunitiesandrequirements\/\">International Student Employment Fund (ISEF) eligible<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NUMBER OF POSITIONS:&nbsp;1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>RATE OF PAY:&nbsp;<\/strong>$17.20-18 per hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>EMPLOYMENT TERM:&nbsp;<\/strong>May-April<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>HOURS OF WORK:&nbsp;<\/strong>30-34 hours per week in the Summer and 10-13 hours per week Fall\/Winter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The College Life Ambassador plays a key role in fostering a vibrant and inclusive environment at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ. This position is committed to cultivating a sense of community, enriching campus life through various initiatives, and helping students build pride in their experience at York and through York\u2019s College system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The College Life Ambassador\u2019s job duties include the following:&nbsp;<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Community Atmosphere and College Space Enrichment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop and implement innovative programming that enhances the campus atmosphere and creates engaging experiences for students across Winters College.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and execute hallway programs designed to foster casual, spontaneous interactions, offering students opportunities to engage in informal, interactive moments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curate and coordinate artistic and musical events to enrich the cultural life of the colleges and showcase diverse student talents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize events and campaigns that build and strengthen College pride, helping students connect with the unique identity of Winters College.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect feedback from students and share insights with the Student Engagement Coordinator to continuously improve the quality of college life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>College Government Collaboration<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Foster positive relationships and open lines of communication among student leaders within the College.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate partnerships between student organizations to encourage collaborative programming and shared events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as a liaison between various student groups to promote cohesion, unity, and interconnectedness within the student community.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist student organizations with event planning, offering guidance, resources, and strategies for successful program execution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with the SCLD team\u2019s to support effective event promotion and ensure maximum student participation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Wayfinding and College Space Operations:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support students in navigating campus spaces, offering guidance on where to access resources and services within Winters College and AMPD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help maintain and operate common areas such as the Music Rooms and Common Rooms, ensuring they are well-organized, accessible, and conducive to student use.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist SCLD by supporting student organizations navigate booking processes, ensuring smooth operations for student activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete other duties as assigned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Additional Responsibilities of the \u201cLead\u201d Ambassador Position<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attend weekly meetings with the Coordinator to discuss feedback, direction, strategy, identify team needs, and advises Coordinator on improvements and new initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the daily flow of the SLCD spaces.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support events including creating workflow charts, action plans, assisting with planning student organization related events.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Act as the liaison with other departments and represent when the coordinator is unavailable to attend.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertake tasks associated with coordinating a smooth and well-functioning team (informational research, distribution of materials, referrals, presentations, create social media content, participate in online discussion boards, answer emails)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare weekly updates on metrics and inform the Coordinator and Manager, Student Life.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advise the Coordinator on stock levels of resources in the kiosk, SCLD spaces, coordinate team staffing resources, and troubleshoot all daily operational details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Qualifications<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be Fall\/Winter Domestic or International Work-¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Previous experience on an SCLD team is an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in student engagement initiatives such as student clubs, peer mentor programs, orientation, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in event planning and project management is an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to provide accurate information and resources in a fast-paced environment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel as well as Teams<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with Mailchimp, WordPress, and Canva is an asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work well in a team but also independently.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfortable presenting&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to understand policy and apply it to daily activities as well as educate others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Detail-oriented and demonstrated ability to take initiative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent oral &amp; written communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate experience using various social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, etc.) as well as knowledge of social media analytics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of York\u2019s campus, services, and resources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge &amp;
