\u201cchironomids\u201d) in lake and pond sediments, to generate\u00a0paleoecological\u00a0assessments of past aquatic ecosystem changes.\u00a0 However, my research interests are broad, as I am interested in a breadth of\u00a0paleoecological\u00a0and ecological methods (including \u201creal-time\u201d environmental monitoring) and indicators (including algae (e.g. diatoms) and zooplankton (e.g.\u00a0<em>Daphnia<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Chaoborus<\/em>)) to examine aquatic ecosystem responses to a variety of human-induced stressors.\u00a0 My research interests, and the projects undertaken by my graduate students, encompass numerous types of aquatic systems, ranging from\u00a0embayments of the Laurentian Great Lakes in southern Canada to shallow ponds in the northern tip of the Canadian High Arctic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:150px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dezadeash Lake, Yukon Territory Dr. Roberto Quinlan Associate Professor (*On leave, not accepting new students at this time) Department of Biology, 快播视频 My area of research specialization involves examining the\u00a0chitinous\u00a0subfossil remains of midges (Diptera:\u00a0Chironomidae;
