Along the way they will stop at\u00a0the India Institute of Technology's\u00a0facilities in\u00a0Mumbai (Bombay) and Madras, the University of Calcutta, the Indian Space Research Organization,\u00a0the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research together with visits to other\u00a0institutes and universities during the nation-wide trip<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur faculty considers international partnerships as the key cornerstone supporting our strategic <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/yfile\/photos\/20110223\/\/KozinskiJanusz2.jpg\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"8\" vspace=\"8\" width=\"140\" height=\"184\" align=\"right\" \/>priorities. Partnerships like those with India stimulate the spirit of innovation with clear focus on research outcomes that have an international impact,\u201d says Janusz Kozinski (right), dean of the Faculty of Science &amp; Engineering at 快播视频 and a member of the\u00a0delegation to India.<\/p>\n<p>The key mandate for the trip\u00a0is to enable researchers from 快播视频 and across India to establish joint bilateral research and development projects. Halfway through their trip, the York delegation will pause to\u00a0participate in a two-day\u00a0workshop\u00a0co-sponsored by the International Science\u00a0&amp; Technology Partnerships Canada, Global Innovation &amp; Technology Alliance,\u00a0the Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering &amp; Research and India's Defence Research &amp; Development\u00a0Organisation (DRDO).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0workshop will bring together\u00a0more than 100 participants from research institutes and universities from Canada and England, and will include researchers and university vice-chancellors from across India.\u00a0Rajagopala Chidambaram, the principal scientific adviser to the government of India, and Vijay Kumar Saraswat, director-general of DRDO, the secretary of defence\u00a0research and development and scientific adviser to Indian Defence Minister Raksha Mantri, are among the diginitaries participating in the\u00a0workshop.<\/p>\n<p>This workshop will give participants the opportunity to discuss advances and innovations in their respective areas of research, exchange information and ideas and\u00a0create further opportunities to\u00a0establish research collaborations.
