She also earned her Masters of English and Masters of Education at ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ. Her dissertation focuses on coastal Eastern African literary cultures in the Indian Ocean. Her research interests are East African literature, Indian Ocean studies, comparative antiquities, postcolonial theory, and spatial humanities.
