Earlier books include Canada and Its Americas: Transnational Navigations (coedited), and The New North American Studies: Culture, Writing, and the Politics of Re\/Cognition (Routledge 2005,<br>French translation 2010), He has contributed chapters to The Oxford Handbook of the African American Slave Narrative<br>(2014). The Cambridge History of Postcolonial Literature (2012), and African American Literature in Transition 1750-<br>2015 (Cambridge UP, 2021).
