Dr. Salahandish’s research group has made significant strides in developing innovative wearable technologies for health monitoring. Their accomplishments include publications in top-tier scientific journals, multiple patent filings, and over $2 million in funding from agencies such as NSERC, Mitacs, and internal supports like LIF. Most recently, the group received an OCI/C2C grant to support the commercialization of a wearable health monitoring device.
To translate research into real-world solutions, the team launched a startup called WearNovAi, focused on bringing biomedical devices from the lab to market. Ongoing research is now centered on combining advanced biosensing technologies with real-time data analysis to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
