Law students will assist clients with their government documents to try to ease the application process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide assistance with the following identifications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Canadian Passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/osgoode\/clasp\/ontario-photo-card\/\">Ontario Photo ID Card<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/osgoode\/clasp\/birth-certificate\/\">Birth Certificate<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/osgoode\/clasp\/ontario-health-card\/\">Ontario Health Card<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/osgoode\/clasp\/permanent-resident-card\/\">Permanent Resident Card<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tax Dispute Clinic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tax Dispute Clinic is the first of its kind that helps low-income people who have received a reassessment letter, or other communication.  The Clinic is a partnership with KPMG and Pro Bono Students Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Law students will assist clients requiring legal assistance with tax matters, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Disability tax credits\/programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spousal support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Child tax benefits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Small business tax credits\/deductions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Housing credits<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Failure to report income<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Garnished wages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note, at this time, the Tax Dispute Clinic will not be assisting individuals with filing their tax returns but can provide information regarding eligibility for tax credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tax Dispute Clinic will operate <strong>Tuesdays<\/strong> from <strong>9:30am \u2013 4:30pm<\/strong> at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yorku.ca\/osgoode\/clasp\/contact\/\">CLASP Office<\/a>, located within Osgoode Hall Law School. We ask individuals to bring ALL documentation relating to their tax matter including all communications from CRA (reassessment, letter, etc.) and a copy of their income tax return.
