Jennifer Duncan is the author of Sanctuary & Other Stories<\/em> and Frontier Spirit: Brave Women of the Klondike,<\/em> and many short stories, poems, book reviews, etc. published in literary journals and newspapers.  She holds degrees in Creative Writing & English Literature and Education from ¿ì²¥ÊÓƵ, Concordia University, and OISE\/University of Toronto and she has attended the Banff Studio for Writers. Out of her research in visual culture arts education and Indigenous pedagogies, she innovated the ground-breaking curriculum that created the Yukon School of Art. She is currently completing her dissertation and a novel and her research interests include: creative writing pedagogy, arts-based inquiry, feminist\/postmodernist literary theory, autotheory, psychogeography, women artists, and the kunstlerroman.  She believes education should be empowering and employs critical and social justice teaching strategies to build a community of practice in the classroom and support holistic experiential learning.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"template":"","class_list":["post-150094","contract","type-contract","status-publish","hentry"],"yoast_head":"\nJennifer Duncan -
