Drop-in Advising

In-Person Advising

sessions are available by using QLESS or check in at the 103 Central Square front desk. As there is high demand for advising at this time, try joining QLESS drop-ins right when the queue opens in the morning or again when it reopens in the afternoon.

The last advising drop-in session for the day will begin a half hour before the indicated end time.

Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. (last meeting starts at 12:30p.m.) and 2:00 - 3:45 p.m. (last meeting starts at 3:30p.m.)

Regular schedule resumes the week of April 13.

  1. Join ourÌýÌýORÌýdownload the QLESS app on your smartphone fromÌýÌýor the iTunesÌý. (Open the app and select "Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies")
  2. Select the History, Human Rights & Equity Studies, PoliticsÌývirtual or in-person queue.
  3. Click Join Now.
  4. Fill out your name and phone number.
  5. Add any notes for your advisor, including topics you’d like to discuss.
  6. Fill in a short form regarding your student information.
  7. You’ll receive a text message with theÌýZoom link or office locationÌýwhen your advisor is ready to meet with you!

The queue will close once it reaches capacity. Try again later or another day. Please note QLESS estimated wait times are approximate and actual time to be seen may vary depending on advisor availability and duration of each advising session.

Note: Each drop-in session is about 15-30 minutes. The last advising drop-in session for the day will begin a half hour before the indicated end time.

Booked Appointments

Students can request a booked half-hour appointment on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, between 9a.m. and 3:30p.m. except for April 6. Virtual appointments via Zoom are offered all three days. In-person availability depends on the academic advisor's schedule. To schedule an appointment, submit your request through our . Once your appointment is scheduled, you will receive a notification of your appointment details. If you have a time sensitive appointment request, students can book an appointment over the phone: 416-736-5222.
