Research Interests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Hala Tamim is an Associate Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science at 快播视频 and holds an adjunct faculty position in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University. Hala has a PhD in Epidemiology from McGill University and a Masters in Public Health from Emory University. She is a member of the LaMarsh Centre for Child and Youth Research at 快播视频, and a co-investigator of the National Collaborative Perinatal Neonatal Network (NCPNN) at the American University of Beirut. She has over 20 years of professional teaching and training experience. Hala has extensive expertise in research methods and statistical analyses. She has managed several community-based and multi-centre projects and has published over 160 peer-reviewed papers. Her main research interest is in the area of maternal and child health. Currently, funded by SSHRC, Hala and other colleagues at 快播视频, the University of Toronto, and the American University of Beirut are conducting a study that assesses the integration of new parent Syrian refugees resettling in Canada by studying their transition pre versus post migration and comparing it to families that remain residing in Lebanon.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
