Oleena Chaudhuri is a PhD Researcher in Social Work at 快播视频 and a Graduate Research Fellow at the Centre for Refugee Studies. Her research focuses on migration, gender, and labour market integration, with an emphasis on South Asian communities in the West. Her doctoral study examines how immigration policies, global labour demands, and social structures shape the experiences of highly skilled migrants, drawing on intersectional and transnational feminist frameworks.
She brings extensive fieldwork experience with refugees in the Netherlands, sex workers and LGBTQ communities in India, and sustainability education programs in Canada. Oleena has held research and policy roles with UNESCO, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the World Economic Forum (WEF), and is a member of the European Policy Network - POLITHEOR. She holds a double MSc in Public Policy and Human Development from Maastricht University and UNU-MERIT, and a Bachelor's in Political Science, Economics, and English from St. Xavier鈥檚 College, Kolkata, India.
